Facts about Boulevard
Found in the southeastern part of San Diego County, Boulevard is a census designated place located in the Mountain Empire area, California. The CDP is described as a rural high desert area that's along the border joining California and Mexico.
The name for the CDP is derived from the presence of US Highway 80, which runs through the middle of the area. Until the construction of Interstate 8, the highway served as the main road. Boulevard was also chosen as the name for the post office when it was established.
